David Newell is a magician and variety performer based in the Midwest.

His work combines sleight-of-hand, comedy, and stories inspired by chance encounters, long drives, forgotten souvenirs, and the strange moments that connect people. Whether performing for a packed theater or a handful of strangers gathered around a table, David creates experiences that are equal parts impossible, funny, and deeply human.

He currently performs as a resident magician at The Hand & The Eye and has appeared at venues including Chicago Magic Lounge, The Magic Den, and the BorderLight Fringe Festival.

He is also one half of David & Brayden, a comedy-magic duo behind Weird Stuff in a Normal Room, a traveling pop-up show built on the belief that extraordinary things can happen in ordinary places.
